SKI LESSON
Seven Deadly Sins (Parallel Skiing Tips)
Problem:
- Tight Stance - Hard to bounce efficiently & difficult to allow skis work independently
- Losing inside hand
- Leaning inside (banking turn)
- Rotating upper body
- Turning inside ski more than outside ski
- A-Frame - Edging outside ski much more than inside ski
- Counter rotation - blocked position; not strong
Solution:
- Keep your feet hip-width apart then you will find much easier to edge the ski
- Keep both hands in front and have a good platform on your feet
- Inside leg slightly bend & maintain outside ski pressure
- Upper body stay calm
- Adjust body position & maintain outside ski preSsure
- Equal amount edge on both skis; try to feel inside foot's little toe
- Keep yourself more lined up & stay strong; allow your feet, knees, and ankles to increase the edge as you go around turn
